Cross Functional Flow Diagram
When to create:
- To show the clear responsibility of each step in a flow diagram.
- To show the owner of each step in a flow diagram. Here, owner means the system, department, BU, Team, etc.
- To show the various stages/timeline in a flow diagram.
- To understand the complete flow of a process along with the involved systems and stage
Points to be considered:
- Create cross functional in multiple layers (L1, L2 & L3)
- First layer (L1) will provide the information of high level steps and their owners.
- To show the details of a particular step/process use another layer(L2 or L3) and don’t try to accommodate all involved steps into first layer itself.
